Company Owner, Charliz Balicao
Charliz Balicao, the owner of Charliz Balicao Dance Company, brings a wealth of experience in dance, having worked with high school dance teams, studio dancers, and collegiate teams. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Bethel University. Charliz's journey in dance began with 15 years of training at Larkin Dance Studio. She later became a member of The University of St. Thomas Dance Team from 2019 to 2020, contributing to two collegiate national championship titles in jazz and hip-hop.
From 2020 to 2022, Charliz served as the Assistant Varsity Jazz and JV Kick Coach for The Benilde St. Margaret’s Dance Team, sharing her expertise and passion with young dancers. Her professional dance career flourished as an NFL Cheerleader from 2021 to 2024, where she performed in high-profile pre-game and halftime shows alongside artists like Flo Rida, T-Pain, Wyn Starks, Young Gravy, Hairball, and Tyler Hubbard.
Charliz's choreography is recognized nationally, showcased by numerous studios, dance teams, and professional cheer teams, including the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders. Her dedication to the art of dance and her extensive experience make her a respected figure in the dance community.
Meet the Team

Sara grew up dancing at Larkin Dance Studio, starting at 2, and continued training and competing for 16 years. Some of Sara's dance career highlights include being on NBC’s World of Dance season 3 and achieving Top 10 Teen Best Dancer at The Dance Awards. After high school, she attended Louisiana State University for two years, dancing on the LSU Tiger Girls Dance Team. Sara will continue her academic studies at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities as a student of the Carlson School of Business and continue to teach dance to studios nationwide.

Maris LaPointe is a recent graduate of Forest Lake High School. She has grown up being a competitive dancer and was a member of the University of St. Thomas Dance Team. At the University of St Thomas, she plans to major in business. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and volunteering in her spare time. Maris continues to pursue her dance career by cheering for the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders. She has always had a passion for dance and loves to help others work to reach their goals.
Kirsten has been in the studio dance world for over fifteen years and with CBDC since it was formed in 2020. She has been a board member for the Blaine Dance Team boosters for the past five years serving as secretary. Kirsten loves giving back to the organizations her daughters have been a part of, including now, as she serves as the office manager for CBDC.
